Our Old Vine grapes herald from the original vines that Arnold Tudal, along with his father-in-law George “Baci” Cerruti and son John Tudal, planted in the early 1970’s. Most of these grapes are included in our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, but a small selection of the finest fruit is held back for this Cab.
This vintage was harvested in early October 2011 and aged in new French oak barrels until bottling in January 2015. The wine itself is rich and silky with a mineral terrior that is true to this St. Helena vineyard. On the nose and palate we find notes of cedar, eucalyptus, leather, bing cherry and mission figs. This is the smallest production wine we offer, and currently available exclusively to wine club members.
